Previously, some media said that Tottenham planned to introduce new forward players, and Rodrigo was one of their targets. Plettenberg pointed out that this rumor had no basis. The deal for Rodrigo to transfer to Tottenham was difficult to realize, mainly because of the player's salary issue.

However, the possibility of Rodrigo's transfer in January next year still exists, and relevant parties are exploring opportunities in the transfer market. The player's contract with Real Madrid expires in 2028.
